NJ02NE 40 NJ 05583 24851
This farmsteading, which is still occupied, comprises five buildings loosely arranged around three sides of a yard that is open to the SW. The farmhouse and another building stand on the SE side of the yard with a byre and a modern shed on the NW and a threshing barn, now in use as a store, on the NE. There is an iron water-wheel on the NW side of the barn, and remains of the gearing mechanism are visible within the interior.
All of the buildings are depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, xlviA; 1902, sheet xlviA).
Visited by RCAHMS (TIP, AGCH) 24 August 2006.
