Nothing is visible of the limekiln that stood in what is now an improved field immediately N of Easter Gorton farmsteading. The kiln is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet xxxii) but it is not shown on the 2nd edition of the map (Inverness-shire 1905, sheet xxxii NE). A grass-grown mound, measuring 6.5m in diameter by 1.5m in height, is situated at the edge of the field about 30m NE of the site of the kiln. Its origin and purpose are unknown.
