The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Keiss Sand or Sands are not noted as such on the 1999 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but the name probably applies to the extensive sandy area of Keiss Links, which extend along the western side of Sinclair's Bay between about ND 342 602 and ND 338 580.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 14 May 2007.
