NG44SE 114 4653 4387

NG 4653 4387 Lying at the foot of a north-east facing outcrop on the south side of the Struan road are the substantial remains of a small farmstead, consisting of:
A round ended, stone built, house lying on a north-east to south-west alignment, which measures 11.00 metres long by 5.00 metres wide over walls 0.80 metre thick. A narrow entrance survives at the north-east end of the south-east wall.
Abutting the north-west side of the house and lying on the same alignment is a smaller round ended structure, also built of stone, which measures 9.70 metres by 5.00 metres over walls 0.80 metre thick. Access between the two structures is via a narrow door opening in the abutting walls.
About 4.00 metres to the north-west of the above is a round cornered structure, also stone built, which measures 8.00 metres long by 4.40 metres wide over walls 0.70 metre thick. This structure also lies on a north-east to south-west alignment. There are opposing door openings to the north-east ends of the long sides.
