Full Description

A longhouse is depicted as partially roofed on the 1st edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map c.1870. <1>

The building survives in a ruinous state, still partially roofed. Prior notification has been submitted for the erection of an agricultural building at this location, but there is no indication that this building is to be demolished. Photographs of the building were taken during a site visit by Morag Goodfellow, graduate planner. <2><3>

A photographic survey was undertaken of this building to comply with a condition on planning permission. These depict it as described above, but with a newly constructed agricultural building immediately to the east. <4>
