Full Description
Lithic material was identified in the topsoil during a watching brief on a replacement water main in October 2008. The amount of debitage remained roughly constant along a 500m section of the pipeline trench after which no further finds were noted. The topsoil in this area was noticeably peaty, overlaying bedrock. The lithics consist of at least one thumbnail scraper and debitage including core reduction flakes, core rejuvenation flakes and thinning flakes. <1>
