Full Description
A fish trap or quay at Bonnavoulin.
Survey by C Martin and P Martin of the Morvern Maritime Centre: NM 559 533: The remains of a low stone wall run N/S for 70m across the small bay S of Eilean nan Gabhar. It is attached to the rocks at its southern end, but stops short of a rocky outcrop at the other side of the bay. While this simple wall might function as a fish trap, it is only exposed at low spring tides, unlike other fish traps noted during the survey which would function at both spring and neap tides. Its purpose remains uncertain. This survey was undertaken during 2006. <1>
