There are twelve heaps of field-cleared stones disposed around the fringes of the improved grass in a field to the E of a local eminence variously named Torr na Caorach on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire, Island of Muck, 1880 sheet lxxii), and Torr nan Gobhar on the 2nd edition of the map (1903). What may be a small pen, measuring about 2m across the interior, has been built against one of the clearance heaps (Muck02 426).
