What is probably a building reduced to a little more than a rectangular platform is situated at the SW foot of a low ridge in a field of improved grass. The platform measures 7.5m from NE to SW by 3.2m transversely within intermittent traces of a stone wall. The interior is levelled into the slope on the NE and built up on the SW. The local eminence to the W of the ridge is named Torr na Caorach on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire, Island of Muck, 1880 sheet lxxii), and Torr nan Gobhar on the 2nd edition of the map (1903).
