Possibly on map sheets NG65SW or NG66SW.
(No classification or cargo specified: date of loss cited as 17 March 1822). Unknown: this vessel was upset near the entrance to the harbour at Isle of Ronay, Skye. 9 lost.
(Location of loss cited as N57 35.0 W6 0.0).
I G Whittaker 1998.
The map sheet assigned to this record is essentially tentative, and it remains unclear whether the loss occurred off the W (Sound of Raasay) or E (Inner Sound) side of this elongated island.
The location of the 'harbour' is not recorded, but there are numerous indentations which might merit such a title. The 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map notes Dry Harbour [NAT] at NG 621 581, on the W side of the island near its midpoint.
