Full Description
NH64NW 8004 c. 6255 4830
N57 30.25 W4 17.65
NLO: Erraid [name: NH 6296 4835]
Coul Point [name: NH 619 481]
(Location cited as NH 6256 4830). The 'hulk' of a 'fifties? constructed small vessel appears to be holed, beached, this vessel appears to be going nowhere.
CFA/MORA Coastal Assessment Survey 1998.
The location assigned to this record remains unverified, and may have been displaced inland. The cited location lies on or just above the the foreshore about 400m WSW of Erraid, on the N shore of the Beauly Firth.
The available photograph appears to record a small general purpose powered vessel, presumably of GRP construction. It may alternatively be a converted lifeboat.
The presence of this vessel is not apparently cited by I G Whittaker (1998).
