Corpach [name: NN 099 769]
Fort William [name: NN 105 740].
Possibly on map sheet NN17NW.
(Classified as M[otor] F[ishing] V[essel]: no cargo specified, but date of loss cited as 22 August 1921). Rosies: this vessel caught fire, [and was] beached at the East end of Loch Eil, near Bona [Corpach] Lighthouse.
Registration: Lossiemouth. 55nrt.
(Location of loss cited as N56 52.0 W5 8.0).
I G Whittaker 1998.
The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. 'Bona Lighthouse' is probably a misnaming of Corpach Lighthouse (NN 09551 76634), at the SW entrance to the Caledonian Canal, for which see NN07NE 9.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 20 March 2008. <1>
