The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Tanera Mor and Tanera Beg are the largest islands within the Summer Isles group, which is situated on the N side of the broad entrance to Loch Broom. It remains uncertain whether the loss occurred on the islands or the adjacent mainland.
The vessel presumably stranded.
