Full Description
NH76NE 318 centred 78776 67724
A small Nissen hutted military camp is situated on The Links at Cromarty. The camp is visible on oblique aerial views (CPE/Scot/UK 293, frames 0033-0035, flown 17 September 1947), as a series of at least 25 Nissen huts with several other type of huts spread over the Links. The hutted camp is possibly linked to the control and servicing of flying boats in the Cromarty Firth during World War II, but may also be related to the repair facilties available directly W across the Firth.
