Full Description

The site of a small farmstead was recorded by Historic Assynt as part of a wider survey of Clashmore township. The farmstead comprises a longhouse, a later byre and another outbuilding, all aligned ENE/WSW. The buildings and an area of land to the south are enclosed within a boundary dyke. The enclosure has been cut through by "the school walk" which was created in the 1890s by the parents of Clashmore so their children could get to the new school to the south of the settlement. <1>
