Full Description
What may be a fossilised tooth was recovered from the natural gravel at the bottom of a foundation trench during a watching brief on an extension to the Pilots House. The current whereabouts of the find is not known and it appears to have been discarded. <1>
John Wood advises that there is no record of this in the finds archive and the report appears to have inadvertently included an early interpretation of an item that was subsequently rejected as being non-archaeological. <2>
