Full Description

A single cup on a small earthfast boulder close and to the NW of the NE settlement of the upper dispersed township. This is one a group of twelve stones mostly situated on two knolls. All the stones in this group will be recorded in detail as part of the Ross-shire Rock Art project taking place 2009-2011. <1>

This panel was recorded as part of the ScRAP (Scotland’s Rock Art project) by members of NoSAS in November 2017. The panel is surrounded by trees in dense planted forest. It lies about 20m southwest of a bend in a now overgrown and impassable track. There is another cup marked rock, Rogie Farm 72, about 20m to the west.

The panel is a large upstanding schist boulder with lots of mica, about 2m across and 1m high. There is one large cup 6 cm across and 2 cm deep on a flattish area near the top. The grain of the schist runs east-south-east. <2>
