Full Description
A memorial stone commemorating the evacuation of residents of the Inver, Tarbat and Fearn areas between December 1943 and May 1944. The inscription states that the evacuation was needed "to enable British armed forces to prepare for the Allied invasion of Normandy". Photographs of the stone were submitted to the HER by Martin Briscoe in February 2010. <1>
