A circular enclosure appears at this location on the 1907 Ordnance Survey map (Caithness Sheet X) and on subsequent maps up until 1969 when it does not appear. <1>
This enclosure is depicted as a sheefold on the 25'' 1st edition Ordnance Survey map c.1872-3. <2>
