Full Description

Hut circle c.10.5m internal diameter with an average 3m wall spread and a c.2m wide entrance in the south east. <1>

An archaeological evaluation was conducted by Dagg. C, of an area of proposed shelter belt planting and native woodland regeneration on croft land at heights of Fodderty, Strathpeffer.

The low, mossy banks of one hut circle measuring approximately 11m in external diameter, with an entrance to the SE. (Photo no. 2)This is located in a clear area of unimproved ground surrounded by a thick cover of regenerating broom, which may be concealing associated structures. <1>
