This milestone was not found on the date of visit. It is depicted standing on the SE verge of what is now the A836 public road overlooking Loch Coulside on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherlandshire 1878, sheet XLIII). The stone indicated the distance in miles to ‘TONGUE 12½’ and ‘ALTNAHARROW 5½’.
