NC52NW 13 52286 25425
This milestone, which stood on the E verge of the A836 public road about 700m N of the Crask Inn, has been removed. It is depicted on the 1st of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherlandshire 1878, sheet LXIII) and indicated the distance in miles to ‘ALTNAHARROW 7½’ and ‘LAIRG 13½’. The stone may have been moved to a new position some 165m to the N, where a milestone is depicted on the present OS MasterMap (NC52NW 14).
