Full Description

A hut circle at Lon Bho Lainn, Skye.

At NG 44859 50858 and 140m OD, in improved pasture, 55m E of the Lon Bho-Lainn stream, on the N facing slopes of Glen Haultin are the partial footings of a hut circle. Edge-set stones mark a wall 8m in diameter and 1m thick. A mound of stones 1m high in the NW quadrant of the structure may be later re-working of the site. The structure is degraded and overgrown with grass, rushes and bracken. Information from Billy MacRae, August 2010. <1>
