Full Description

A hut circle at Strath Brora.

A walkover survey by C Dagg in 2007 in advance of the second phase of native woodland planting on Kilbraur common grazings located eight previously unrecorded hut circles within associated field systems. At NC 8028 1030 is distinct heather-covered walling on a level platform of a circle measuring 7.5m in diameter internally, with an entrance to the east. The interior is waterlogged. To the SE of this there appear to be a number of field clearance mounds of a contemporary field system which was not investigated. <1>

GIS spatial data amended in 2019 according to location of site as seen on 2013 vertical APs. <2>
