N58 26.4 W3 4.2
NLO: Wick Bay [name centred ND 376 506]
Wick [name: ND 362 508].
(No classification or cargo specified: date cited as 26 November 1864). Unknown: wreckage [found] on the North side of Wick Bay.
(Location of loss cited as N58 26.50 W3 5.00).
I G Whittaker 1998.
The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary.
The date cited by Whittaker is apparently that of the reported discovery of wreckage, rather than of the loss of the vessel. It remains uncertain whether or not this vessel stranded at or near the reported location of the discovery of wreckage, or foundered and broke up offshore, possibly beyond Scottish waters.
