(Classified as Auxiliary Lugsail [lugger]: no cargo specified, but registration cited as WK 686, and date of loss as 16 March 1941). Isabella: this vessel foundered at [on] Proudfoot Rocks. Capt. Farquhar.
Registration: Wick. Built 1903. 2grt. Length: 7m. Beam: 2m.
(Location of loss cited as N58 26.33 W3 3.50).
I G Whittaker 1998.
The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Proudfoot Rocks are not noted as such on the 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but the name presumably applies to the extensive and prominent rocks around North Head (centred ND 383 507).
This vessel most probably stranded on the rocks, slipped back, and sank.
