NLO: Lybster [name: ND 248 355]

(Classified as galliot: no cargo specified, but date of loss cited as 30 August 1871). Emanuel: this vessel stranded outside the pier at Lybster. Capt. Rienarts. Sold as wreck.
Registration: Prussian.
(Location of loss cited as N58 17.75 W3 17.00).
I G Whittaker 1998.
The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. The vessel evidently stranded within or just outside the entrance to Lybster harbour (ND23SW 15), which is centred at ND 2446 3490 and extends from ND 2446 3499 to ND 2452 3478.
The remains of the vessel were presumably removed without delay from this constrained location.
