Full Description
People walking to the church at Kiltearn from Evanton, followed the road on the north side of the River Sgitheach, skirting round Balconie House and crossing the river at a ford at approx. NH 6170 6545. The ford was later replaced by a footbridge, which is shown on the OS First edition map (1874, Sheet LXV.14). This is no longer there.
