MHG55113 - House or byre, (Building A7), Balmacqueen
The degraded remains of a building within the former township at Balmacqueen. The township was surveyed in 2011 and the building numbers in the record names are taken from the survey report.

Underlying the boundary fence between Sites A and C are the very degraded remains of a turf-covered structure which is revetted into the slope to SSE. It measures 11.5m ENE-WSW by 4.8m externally with walls 0.8-1.0m wide. There is a possible entrance in the NW wall 0.7m wide, which survives up to 0.3m high. The boundary wall linking Site A4 has been built over the NW wall. <1>
