Full Description
A tank is recorded on the OS 2nd edition map (1906) and on the current edition of the map between Hamilton House and the Highland Hotel. It is now demolished but foundations are said to be under thick rhododendron bushes. It would have been located near the original bathhouse and so may have been connected to it, to hold water in case the wells ran dry. A well is shown next to Studdingsail Hall on the OS 1st edition map (1876) and this may also be related.
