Full Description

A post-medieval enclosure was recorded during a walkover survey by West Coast Archaeological Services in 2012 at Glen Bracadale, Bracadale, Skye, prior to a proposed woodland creation scheme. Part of the Glen Bracadale township.

The grass-covered turf / stone enclosure measured 34m NW-SE over walls spread to 2m and up to 0.5m high. It was built over house Site 11c (see MHG55712). A drain, stone-lined in the southern half, and two feeder drains had been dug to the west side of the settlement. <1>
