Full Description
The remains of a small enclosure were seen during a walkover survey by Scotia Archeology for a proposed new hydro-electric scheme on the Garrogie Estate, in 2012. The remains were encountered within a birch wood towards the north end of the pipe route at Allt Mor and very close to the proposed site of its power house. These scant remains, comprised an oval structure measuring 12m by 9m and survived as an incomplete single course of rubble boulders. No other structures or associated features were evident in the vicinity of this enclosure and neither its date nor precise function is clear. <1> <2>
