Full Description
A 'U' shaped dyke was noted on the higher ground southwest of Garve, Contin, during a walkover survey by Wardell Armstrong in 2011 in advance of the proposed replacement of the Beauly - Mossford Overhead Line. <1>
This enclosure is not shown on the available OS 1:10,560 1st and 2nd Edition maps. When viewed on aerial photographs it can be seen to be extending much further on the higher ground that indicated in <1> and to form an enclosure.
