Full Description
A possible farmstead or shieling was noted during a DBA and walkover survey by RoCAS in 2012 on behalf of Forestry Commission Scotland. It was located on the southeast side of a stream and under grass and rushes. It took the form of a mound standing up to 2m high. It measured 11m northwest to southeast internally and 5.5m wide. There may have been two partition walls and an entrance in the southwest wall. There was a possibility that it overlied an earlier hut circle or similar structure. <1>
