Full Description
Possible stretch of military road causeway at Laggan, but now thought to date to the time of Thomas Telford.
Photos of the road following water erosion were taken by Martyn Jackson in 2011. <1>
The road was subject to a desk-based assessement and walkover survey by CFA Archaeology in 2012. It was clear from research and historic map regression that the causeway and road were not military in origin but dated to the early C19 and was probably constructed under the direction of Thomas Telford. <2>
A section down through and along the road was photographed by E Stewart of Bear Scotland in 2014 during repair works. <3>
