Full Description
Two shieling huts were noted by WCAS during a 2011 DBA and walkover survey in advance of a woodland creation scheme. The north shieling hut was covered with bracken, grass, and heather. It was drystone and measured 4.5m northwest to southeast by 4m over walls 0.7m wide and up to 0.3m high. The south shieling was also covered under bracken, grass and heather. It was drystone and measured 5m east to west by 4m over walls spread to 0.7m wide and up to 0.3m high. <1>
