Full Description

A shieling hut was noted by WCAS in a 2012 DBA and walkover survey in advance of a woodland creation scheme. Located 2m to the northeast of the burn, by a large boulder and under bracken and heather was a stone-built shieling hut measuring 5.5m northwest to southeast by 3.5m over walls spread to 0.8m and standing to 0.7m high. There was a possible entrance in the west side. <1>
