Full Description
This structure was visited by R Spencer-Jones in 2012 as part of a condition survey of sites around the Beauly Firth as part of the SCAPE Project. This is a low lying stony structure visible at low tide, consisting of two parts. From the shore at NH55610 48565 there is an approx 10 m by 5 m irregular mound of stones, with a probably lower less stony continuation into the Firth for approx another 15 m. It is unclear whether this is an eroded and accreted fish trap, or pier. Local knowledge is equivocal. <1>
