Full Description

A ruined structure of unknown date, possibly a shelter or shieling hut.

L-shaped walls against 45 degree slope forming what was most likely to have been a temporary shelter in the hills to the west of Kilchoan rubbish tip. While most of the surrounding area was rough heather moorland, there were also irregular, bracken-covered fields suggesting the building may have been a shieling. <1>

The site was visited and photographed by Jon Haylett on the 4th of November 2013. <1>
