Full Description

Towards the western edge of a boggy pasture field, to the east of Achindarroch House and farm, sitting at the eastern end of a line of spoil from a drain running out from the fence, is a low grassy mound on a slight rise in an otherwise rushy area. The approximate NGR was noted as NN 0013 5530. Whilst the mound was considered ill-defined at the edges, it was close to 10m in diameter and 1m in height. When the site was surveyed, probing with a survey arrow revealed a concentration of stone near to the centre, there being very little stone towards the margin. It was considered to possibly be a Bronze Age burial mound. <1>
