A circular stone-walled hut at NM 4648 8722 measuring 11.5m between the centres of a turf-and- bracken-covered wall spread to 3.0m. The entrance is in the E. Several large areas of lazybed cultivation lie to the N, but there is no evidence of any cultivation contemporary with the hut. Surveyed at 1/10,000 and 1/2500.
Visited by OS (ISS) 4 May 1972
The site was visited by B Cushion during a walkover survey in advance of a proposed woodland scheme in 1998. An 11m diameter circular turf-covered ridge only 0.25m high and a c.2m spread. A few stones on the structure which has an entrance to the east. Very subdued state of preservation. <1>
On the leading edge of a terrace overlooking the head of a gully, to the SW of a tributary of Abhainn Gleann Charadail, there is a hut-circle covered in bracken that measures 8.8m in diameter within a stony bank measuring 2.5m in thickness and 0.2m in height. The rear of the hut-circle is little more than a scarp dug into the slope.
