Full Description
WWII buildings to the south of the High Street, Invergordon.
The buildings were investigated in 2015 as part of the ARCH project 'Invergordon in World War I'. A Naval WWII plan in private possession shows two narrow buildings abutting onto the south side of the WWI Smithy (see MHG57026) south of the High Street, to the north of the railway. It also shows that the smithy and these small buildings were not part of the M.O.D. area. By 1978 the Smithy buildings have gone. Currently the site is derelict, with concrete bases still visible. <1>
