Full Description

A WWII pipeline heater in the Seabank Tank Farm, Invergordon.

The building was investigated in 2015 as part of the ARCH project 'Invergordon in World War I'. During WWII heaters were needed to pump oil uphill from the port to the tanks at Inchindown. Several survive, including this one, presumably sited before it crossed the railway on its bridge. <1>
