Full Description
A C19 house, Ness Cottage, in Invergordon. Demolished in the late 1980s.
The building was investigated in 2015 as part of the ARCH project 'Invergordon in World War I'. Ness Cottage was situated at the corner of Clyde Street and Shore Road. It is labelled on the 1st edition OS map (surveyed 1872), which shows laid out gardens to the south. The site was derelict in the late 1980s, and was demolished. The Natal Garden occupies the site. The Invergordon Archive has several pictures of Ness Cottage, including one in 1988, with memories of a previous occupant. <1>
