189185 882852 Coille Eagasgarg 4 MB004 : The hut circle was visited by J Buchanan in 2010 as part of research for a dissertation on hut circles in Wester Ross for A Welti. This circular stone structure seems to be part of a group of 7, MB001 (see MHG49734) MB002 (see MHG49735), MB003 (see MHG7749), MB004, MB005 (see MHG57302), MB006 (see MHG57303), and MB007 (see MHG57304). MB003, MB004 and MB005 are recorded as a group by OS 1965. The structure sits on a gentle NW facing slope with wide views inland. Very large stones have been used in the construction. Average inner diameter is 9.1m, outer diameter is 12m. The double skinned wall is 1.5m thick with maximum height 0.45m. The entrance could be either SSE or NNW.The area is deer fenced and planted with trees. Vegetation is high & obscures much of the structure. The entrance could be either SSE or NNW. Very large stones have been used in the construction. <1> <2>
