On the crest of a plateau overlooking the upper reaches of the Abhainn Sneosdal to the S, and at about 150m OD, is a hut-circle. The wall stands to a height of c 0.35m and with a thickness of between 1.4-2.2m encloses a diameter of between 7.7m E-W and 8.4m N-S. The internal area of c 6 square metre is accessible by an entrance c 1.2m in width positioned at 34 degrees E of S. From the outer wall face to the W, a stone setting extends westwards for c 1m then angles sharply to head northwards before disappearing after some 4m.
Visited by R Miket 11 June 1988.
This souterrain is situated in the remote area of Glen Sneosdal and is completely collapsed. The outline of the structure can be roughly seen to consist of a passage about 8m long by 1m wide. From what can be seen it comprises a crude dry stone walling although no height or lintel layout can be observed.
