Full Description
A hut circle at Badfearn.
188033 889178 Badfearn Lexie Croft 2 JAN008: The hut circle was visited by A MacInnes in 2013 as part of research on hut circles in Wester Ross for A Welti. This circular HC is much degraded. It sits on a fairly level terrace on gently sloping ground with a S aspect. Views are panoramic over land and sea. A degraded wall runs 5m to S of HC, going in E/W direction, possibly associated with the HC. Outer diameter is 6m, no inner diameter measureable. Max wall height is 0.2m. Some wall facings are visible but no entrance is discernable. This HC is possibly associated with JAN006 (600m distant - see MHG58061), JAN007 (200m distant - see MHG58062) and MR001 (150m distant - see MHG51506). <1> <2>
