A hut circle at Laide Wood, to the southwest of Laide.
188917 890677 Laide Wood 4 JMC004: The hut circle was visited by J Macintyre and others in 2012 as part of research on hut circles in Wester Ross for A Welti. This circular HC lies on flat ground. The structure is submerged in heather, moss and peat. Very few stones are visible. The change from grassy vegetation to heather shows up in the circle. Average outer diameter is 8.85m. The wall is double skinned but no measurements were possible. This HC may be associated with JMC001 (200m distant - see MHG58069), JMC003 (30m distant- see MHG58071), JMC002, (20m distant - see MHG58070) JMC005 (20m distant - see MHG58073), JMC006 (400m distant - see MHG58074). <1> <2>
