MHG58681 - Farmstead and Enclosure - Fisherfield


A farmstead comprising 2-3 buildings and an enclosure. They were depicted as roofed in the 1st edition OS Map, but roofless on the 2nd, and are visible now as grassed over footings.

NG99SE 9571 9107
Oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 2009) has recorded the remains of a farmstead 400m WNE of the current settlement at Fisherfield. The farmstead was depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire and Cromartyshire 1881, Sheet XX), when it comprised three roofed buildings and an enclosure. On the 2nd edition, the building were depicted as roofless.
