Full Description
A single building and what may be garden enclosures to the NW and to the SE is depicted on the 1st edition of the 6 inch map (Argyllshire 1875) annotated Poorhouse. The OS Name Book describes the Poor House as 'A dwelling house, one storey, thatched and in good repair, where a few old people are accommondated at the expense of the parish'. By the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map the house had been abandoned and was roofless.
The site of the poor house is occupied by modern housing.
